Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, held a comprehensive meeting today with Engineer Hany Abou Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, at the association’s headquarters to explore ways to support and develop football in Egypt across players, coaching staff, and administrative teams.

The meeting was attended by Mostafa Abou Zahra, board member of the association, Alaa Nabil, the technical director, and Mohsen Saleh and Helmy Tolba, members of the technical committee, to discuss the association’s plans and programs for nurturing talent and enhancing technical expertise.

Engineer Hany Abou Rida welcomed Minister Sobhi and attendees, emphasizing the strong support the association has received from the ministry in recent periods and highlighting the importance of joint coordination to advance Egyptian football technically and administratively.

Minister Sobhi expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian Football Association’s efforts, noting that football holds a special place among the ministry’s priorities. Helmy Tolba presented the standards and criteria set by the technical committee for appointing coaching staff, in addition to programs currently being prepared to develop Egyptian football at all levels, ensuring a strong foundation for the future.
