Abu Qir Fertilizers have received the international transfer cards for Ghanaian players Gideon Kofi Kwaeson and Prince Twenepoa, making the pair eligible to participate in the club’s upcoming matches.
The Alexandria-based club signed both players during the summer transfer window, but their involvement was delayed while the international transfer documents were completed and their registration with the Egyptian Football Association was finalized.
Following the arrival of the two international cards, the club completed the registration process, meaning both players can now feature for Abu Qir Fertilizers when the Egyptian Premier League resumes after the international break.
🇬🇭 Ghanaian Duo Join Abu Qir Fertilizers
Kwaeson and Twenepoa joined Abu Qir Fertilizers from Ghanaian club Holy Stars as part of the club’s summer recruitment campaign.
Gideon Kofi Kwaeson, 21, plays as an attacking midfielder, while Prince Twenepoa, 20, operates primarily as a left winger.
The coaching staff will now have the option of using both players in official matches as the team looks to strengthen its squad during the coming stage of the season.

Abu Qir Fertilizers, who were recently promoted to the Egyptian Premier League, currently sit 17th with three points after five matches.
The team has recorded one victory and suffered four defeats so far, leaving the Alexandria club looking for improved results in the upcoming fixtures.
With the season progressing, Abu Qir will be aiming to collect more points and move away from the bottom positions.
