According to journalist Gamal El-Ghandour, Adel Mostafa  the assistant coach in Al Ahly’s new technical staff  has been entrusted with the primary responsibility of preparing the lineup for the upcoming CAF Champions League clash against Eagle Noir. ⚽

This decision comes as a show of confidence in Mostafa’s abilities and his familiarity with the team’s internal dynamics during this crucial transitional phase.

El-Ghandour explained on Stad Al-Mehwar that the main reason for this move is that Jes Thorup, the Danish head coach, has only been in charge for a few days. Consequently, responsibilities within the coaching staff are being temporarily rearranged until Thorup completes his evaluation of the squad.

Thanks to his close monitoring of the team in recent weeks, Mostafa possesses in-depth knowledge of the players’ physical and technical conditions both starters and substitutes  giving him an edge in determining the initial lineup and tactical approach.

The coaching staff has reportedly held several intense meetings in recent hours to finalize task distribution for the upcoming match and analyze the players’ readiness for each position. 📝

Preparations also include technical reports analyzing Eagle Noir’s strengths, weaknesses, and playing style to ensure the most effective game plan.
