Saudi journalist Abdulrahman Al‑Hamidi reported that Al Hilal Football Club is currently making a strong push to finalize a loan deal for Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah, in a move aimed at bolstering the team’s attacking capabilities during its participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. In a post on his official “X” account, Al‑Hamidi revealed that intensive negotiations began at dawn today between Al Hilal’s management and their counterparts at Al Shabab, in order to reach a final agreement on Hamdallah’s transfer. The player is currently in the United States. He is expected to join Al Hilal’s training sessions soon, to sharpen his technical and physical readiness for the Club World Cup.

On the competitive front, Al Hilal secured a historic and well‑deserved victory over English champions Manchester City in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup, winning 4–3 after extra time in a thrilling match. Al Hilal’s players displayed a high level of performance and fighting spirit, enabling the team to triumph over the Premier League winners in a decisive encounter. This made Al Hilal the first Arab and Asian club to reach the tournament’s quarter‑final since the new format was adopted. Other Arab clubs, by contrast, were eliminated in the opening round.
Al Hilal now prepares for a pivotal clash against Brazilian side Fluminense, scheduled for Friday, July 4, at 10:00 PM Egypt Time. The Saudi club hopes to continue its strong form and secure a chance to advance further in the competition and contend for the title, drawing on its large fan support and the unity of its players on the pitch.

In light of these developments, Al Hilal’s management appears keen to strengthen the squad with the best available talent, particularly in attack. The addition of Abderrazak Hamdallah would provide the team with a significant boost, expanding the coach’s tactical options and giving the squad a major morale lift ahead of matches against top international opponents. This step is part of a comprehensive plan adopted by the club’s leadership to reinforce the team and present a commendable performance on the global stage.

All these moves underscore Al Hilal’s determination to write another success story in its continental and international journey, especially following its landmark victory over Manchester City, an achievement that raises expectations for the club’s future in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
