Al Ahly head coach Hussein Amouta is facing a selection dilemma ahead of the team’s opening match against Betrol Assiut in the group stage of the Egypt Capital Cup.
The match will be played at Al Salam Stadium, with the Moroccan coach considering different options for the team’s right and left flanks.
Two Options Under Consideration
Amouta is considering using Akram Tawfik as the right-back, with Karim Fouad operating on the left side.
However, if the Moroccan coach decides to deploy Akram Tawfik in midfield, Karim Fouad could move to the right flank, while Tawfik Mohamed would be given an opportunity on the left.
The different scenarios reflect the coaching staff’s intention to make use of several players during the Capital Cup campaign.
Tawfik Mohamed Expected to Get Playing Time
Tawfik Mohamed is expected to feature against Betrol Assiut regardless of which lineup option Amouta ultimately chooses.
If Amouta goes with the first scenario, however, Tawfik Mohamed’s involvement could depend on the flow of the match and the technical needs of the coaching staff.
