Former Egypt international Ahmed Hassan revealed the latest developments in the condition of Al Ahly defender Amr El-Gazzar following the injury he suffered during the team’s match against Al Mokawloon Al Arab.
Ahmed Hassan wrote on his official Facebook account: “Source: Amr El-Gazzar underwent successful ACL surgery this afternoon.”
🚑 Serious Injury Against Al Mokawloon
El-Gazzar suffered the injury during Al Ahly’s match against Al Mokawloon Al Arab, with medical examinations later confirming a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament.
The tests also revealed an injury to the medial meniscus, making surgery necessary before the player could begin his rehabilitation program.
🔴 Second Al Ahly ACL Injury This Season
Amr El-Gazzar has become the second Al Ahly player to suffer an ACL tear during the current season, following Moroccan defender Youssef Belammari, who sustained his injury during pre-season.
