The game saw Nigerian Samuel Amadi score for Smouha in the 3rd minute, followed by Mahmoud Zalaka equalizing for Pyramids in the 29th. Substitute Hossam Ashraf secured the winning goal in the 88th minute, giving Smouha a vital three points, raising their tally to 25 points in 5th place, while Pyramids remained second with 28 points temporarily.
