Sports broadcaster Ahmed Shobier has discussed reports suggesting that several Pyramids players could move to Al Ahly, amid growing speculation over the future of a number of players at the Sky Blues.
Shobier explained that there had been considerable discussion surrounding the futures of some Pyramids players, particularly Mohanad Lasheen and Mahmoud Marei, before the club clarified their contractual situations.

Ahmed Shobier said in radio comments: “There was a lot of talk that some Pyramids players were going to Al Ahly, including Mohanad Lasheen and Mahmoud Marei.”
According to Shobier, Pyramids subsequently clarified that the two players remain under contract with the club, reducing speculation about an imminent departure.
He added: “Pyramids said their contracts with the club expire at the end of 2028, and they still have two years remaining, and they will also renew for another three years.”
According to the comments, the club intends to retain both players for an extended period through potential contract extensions.

Shobier also addressed the situation of Zico, another Pyramids player who has been linked to transfer speculation.
He stated: “Zico is still contracted until 2029.”
