⚽ Shobier Predicts Egypt’s Lineup Against Angola
Sports broadcaster Ahmed Shobier has revealed his expected lineup for Egypt’s upcoming match against Angola on September 25, in the opening round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Shobier believes Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan could rely heavily on several players who featured at the World Cup, while still facing selection decisions in a number of positions.

Shobier expects Mostafa Shobier to start in goal, while he believes the defensive line could feature several possible combinations.

Shobier said: “The three are all very good, honestly. If Yasser Ibrahim had been available, I believe he would have started.”
At left-back, Shobier expects a choice between Ahmed Fetouh and Karim Hafez, with Fetouh his more likely option.

Shobier also highlighted another selection dilemma in midfield, particularly if Hossam Hassan decides to use two defensive midfielders.

Egypt continue their preparations under Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan ahead of the start of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
The Pharaohs completed their latest training session at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City before moving to Cairo International Stadium for further preparations.
Egypt will face Angola on September 25, followed by South Sudan on September 29 in the second round of qualifying, before playing South Africa in a friendly on October 4.
