Sports analyst Mahmoud Shoukry has revealed new details shedding light on why the transfer has not yet been officially announced, despite reports of a completed agreement between the player and Al Ahly.
📞 Surprise Contact from Pyramids FC
According to Shoukry, a Pyramids FC official recently contacted Akrm Tawfik after believing that negotiations with Al Ahly had stalled.
The official reportedly asked the player to consider joining Pyramids in case his move to Al Ahly collapsed, adding an unexpected twist to the transfer saga.
This development increased speculation around the player’s future during a critical stage of negotiations.
💰 Financial Issues with His Current Club
Reports confirm that the main reason behind the delay is not related to Al Ahly’s negotiations, but rather due to unresolved financial obligations with Al Shamal SC in Qatar.
The player is still working on settling his outstanding dues and completing administrative procedures required before finalizing the move.
🔴 Pre-Agreement with Al Ahly Already Done
Sources indicate that Akrm Tawfik had already reached a full agreement with Al Ahly through former football director Sayed Abdel Hafiz, meaning the sporting side of the deal is complete.
However, the official announcement has been postponed until all financial and contractual issues with his current club are fully resolved.
