Al Ahly’s bus reached Cairo Stadium to prepare for the return leg against Eagle Noir, which will decide the team advancing to the group stage based on the aggregate score of both legs.
⚽ First Leg Result:
Al Ahly secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg held in Bujumbura, Burundi’s capital, with the goal coming from an own goal by Eagle Noir defender Nicolas Iragi, putting the Egyptian side closer to qualification.
📜 Historical Record:
This is the second meeting between Al Ahly and Eagle Noir in CAF club competitions, but not the first against Burundian teams. Al Ahly previously faced Vital’O in the Round of 16 of the 2000 CAF Champions League, winning 3-0 at home in Cairo and losing 2-1 in Burundi.
📅 Group Stage Draw:
The CAF announced that the group stage draw for both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup for the 2025-2026 season will take place on Monday, November 3, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
