Al Ahly’s football delegation returned to Cairo on Sunday after completing their first-leg match in the CAF Champions League Round of 32 against Burundi’s Eagle Noir 🇪🇬⚽.
The delegation was led by Dr. Mohamed Shawky, a member of the club’s board, who coordinated closely with the Egyptian Embassy in Burundi to arrange the team’s smooth return. The team could not travel back immediately after Saturday’s game because Bujumbura Airport closes at 6 p.m. ✈️.
The match was held at 4 p.m. local time on Saturday, marking the start of Al Ahly’s campaign to reclaim their continental crown this season.
