Al Ahly Ignites the Transfer Market: Defensive Signings to Shake Up Next Season
Al Ahly moves strongly to strengthen its defense with signings of Amr El-Gazar and Omar Fayed, awaiting the head coach’s final decision.

Egypt’s former national goalkeeper and media personality Ahmed Shobier revealed strong moves inside Al Ahly to strengthen the defense ahead of the next season.
During his program on On Sport Radio, Shobier said: "There are serious negotiations with Amr El-Gazar, the defender from El-Mahalla, and I am 100% sure about this, but the negotiations are not finalized yet due to some opposing technical opinions, despite the scouting department’s recommendation of El-Gazar to Al Ahly."
He added: "Regarding Petrojet’s duo, Hady Riyad and Rashad El Metwally, Rashad’s chances seem slim, while I haven’t followed Hady closely yet."
Meanwhile, media personality Khaled El-Ghandour revealed that Al Ahly is close to finalizing the signing of Omar Fayed, defender of Turkish club Fenerbahçe, to reinforce the defense during the summer transfer window.
El-Ghandour explained on the “Stad Al-Mohwar” program: "Omar Fayed has ended his loan with Belgian club Beerschot and said farewell after the loan period ended. Al Ahly has completed an agreement with him but is awaiting the final approval of the new head coach José Ribeiro."
He concluded: "Fenerbahçe has already started seeking new offers for the player following his expected transfer to Al Ahly."
There is intense anticipation and moves inside Al Ahly to bolster the defense, as the Reds look to build a solid wall to protect their goal amid fierce competition and major upcoming transfers.
