Officials at Al Ahly Club are considering imposing a disciplinary action on player Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet following the controversy surrounding the penalty kick during the match against Inter Miami in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Trezeguet missed the penalty that was awarded to the team, denying Al Ahly a chance to secure a victory. Reports indicate that the coaching and administrative staff are leaning toward imposing a financial fine on the player, while handling the matter internally and without public disclosure, in order to maintain the focus of the rest of the squad ahead of their upcoming match against Brazil's Palmeiras.
According to the pre-set player order, Wissam Abou Ali was designated to take the penalty, but Trezeguet insisted on taking it himself, violating the coaching staff's instructions—a move that caused frustration within the camp.

Following the match, Mohamed Youssef held a meeting with Trezeguet, attended by Emad El-Nahhas and José Ribeiro, during which the player was reprimanded for his undisciplined behavior.

Al Ahly is scheduled to face Palmeiras in the second round of the Club World Cup group stage in a highly anticipated match set to kick off at 7 PM next Thursday.
