Al Ahly Resolves Dollar Liquidity Crisis with Second Installment from Wissam Abu Ali Transfer
Al Ahly’s treasury receives $2.5 million from the second installment of Wissam Abu Ali’s transfer to Columbus Crew, boosting financial stability
Al Ahly received the second installment of $2.5 million from the transfer of Palestinian player Wissam Abu Ali to Columbus Crew, revitalizing the club’s treasury and alleviating the recent dollar liquidity shortage.
The club had sold Abu Ali for $7.5 million, receiving the first installment upon signing the contract, while the second installment now provides additional funds that help support other transfers without financial strain.
This financial boost comes amid limited foreign transfer activity during the recent winter window, where Al Ahly secured deals for Angolan Yacine Camoush and Moroccan Youssef Belamri, alongside local signings including Amr El-Gazar, Hady Riad, Ahmed Eid, and Marwan Osman.
