A senior source at Al Ahly Club has denied recent rumors circulating over the past few hours regarding player Karim Fouad suffering a new injury during the friendly match against Tunisia’s Club Bizertin, which was held as part of the team’s current training camp in Tunisia in preparation for the new season.
The source confirmed that Karim Fouad is in excellent physical and technical condition and is participating normally in the team’s training sessions. He also played the entire friendly match against Bizertin without experiencing any pain or physical issues. The source stressed that all reports about his injury are baseless and only aim to cause confusion and disrupt the team’s preparations.
In a direct response to the rumors, Karim Fouad broke his silence and reacted through his official Instagram account via the "Story" feature. He posted a screenshot of one of the accounts that claimed he had suffered a new ACL tear and commented: “God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. Fear God, brother! It's Bizertin.”
Karim Fouad is considered one of the key players relied upon by Al Ahly’s technical staff, led by coach Marcel Koller, especially after his recent return to action following a serious ACL injury that kept him out of the pitch for nearly a year. During that time, he underwent an intensive rehabilitation program both inside and outside the club before being cleared to gradually return to matches.
There is now a sense of relief within the coaching staff after confirming the player’s full fitness. Fouad has shown clear readiness and is performing strongly in training, which enhances his chances of featuring prominently in the club’s upcoming competitions
