Sports presenter Ahmed Hassan revealed the latest moves by Al Ahly Club in preparation for the upcoming Club World Cup, announcing that the club has finalized an agreement with Ceramica to loan player Beckham for one season for 15 million Egyptian pounds, along with loaning a player from the youth team. It is expected that Beckham will complete his U.S. visa procedures within hours.

In related preparations, on Sunday, June 1st, the exceptional transfer window opened for the 32 clubs participating in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States starting June 14. This transfer period offers a golden opportunity for clubs from 20 countries including Egypt, Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and the UAE to make new signings during two specific periods: the first from June 1 to June 10, and the second from June 27 to July 3, according to the special rules approved by FIFA for the tournament.
Al Ahly will start its campaign in the tournament with a tough match against Inter Miami, led by Argentine star Lionel Messi, before facing Palmeiras from Brazil and Porto from Portugal in the group stage. The tournament system allows clubs complete freedom to register an unlimited number of foreign players in their squads, boosting Al Ahly’s chances to field their full-strength team.

To strengthen the squad, Al Ahly is working on registering several important signings, including the return of Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” on a five-year contract from Turkish club Trabzonspor after a loan spell at Al Rayyan in Qatar. The club also secured Hamdy Fathy on loan from Al Wakrah (Qatar) until the end of the tournament, signed goalkeeper Mohamed Seha from Al Mokawloon Al Arab, and Tunisian player Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan from Hungarian club Ferencvárosi. Additionally, the club is pursuing the signing of Ahmed Sayed “Zizo,” the star of Zamalek, which would be a major reinforcement for the team in the competition.
