Al Ahly started their Egypt Capital Cup campaign in impressive fashion with a 5-0 victory over Petroleum Assiut at Al Salam Stadium.
The Red Giants produced an attacking performance from the opening minutes, scoring twice before halftime and adding three more goals after the break to secure a convincing opening victory.

El Shahat then struck again just one minute later.

Al Ahly continued looking for more goals and added a fifth in the 79th minute through Omar Sidy Maadoui.
The goal was reviewed using VAR before being officially awarded, completing Al Ahly’s five-goal performance against Petroleum Assiut.
