🏀 The junior basketball league witnessed a thrilling showdown between Al Gezira and Al Ahly in the 2016 age category, where Al Gezira emerged victorious after an intense and skillful performance, proving their strength in one of the league’s standout matches.

The Al Gezira juniors are led by Mohamed Abbas as head coach, Dr. Sherif Gunaidi as head of the department, and Adel Naguib as sector supervisor. The coaching staff expressed their pride in the young players’ impressive display, emphasizing that consistent effort and development in the youth sector are the keys to this success.

In a related event, Dr. Sahar El Sonbaty, head of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, attended a ceremony honoring the under-23 wheelchair basketball team for winning the bronze medal in the African Championship. The event was also attended by Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity; Dr. Iman Karim, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities; and Mai Zein El Din, Chairwoman of the Egyptian Wheelchair Basketball Federation and member of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood.
