Al-Masry Finalizes Swap Deal with Al Ahly, Signs Promising Striker
Al Masry signs Omar El Saay as part of a swap deal involving Ahmed Eid’s move to Al Ahly, following a board recommendation to boost the attacking line.
Dr. Mimi Abdel Razek, Head of the Planning Committee at Al Masry SC, announced that striker Omar El Saay will join the club as part of a swap deal that includes right-back Ahmed Eid moving to Al Ahly. The transfer comes as part of mutual coordination between the two clubs to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
In a phone interview with TV host Karim Ramzy on the "Le’ba Wel Tania" show on Mega FM Radio, Abdel Razek explained that Omar El Saay was selected after a thorough study of the team’s technical needs. He confirmed that the signing was made based on a direct recommendation from the club’s board, headed by Kamel Abu Ali, as the management is keen to bring in young, talented players who can add real value on the pitch.
He added that El Saay is one of the most promising young forwards who caught attention last season with Ismaily SC. He possesses solid scoring abilities and smart movement in the attacking third. The coaching staff places high hopes on his contribution to strengthening Al Masry’s offensive line, especially with the fierce competition expected in the upcoming Egyptian Premier League season.
Abdel Razek also noted that the club’s technical committee is working according to a clear plan aimed at building a well-balanced team that combines experience with youth, focusing on quality and actual positional needs rather than signing players just for numbers or names.
He concluded by emphasizing that the club is not only focused on the first team, but is also developing a long-term strategic project that includes establishing football academies across various neighborhoods in Port Said. The goal is to discover and nurture local talents so that Al Masry SC can rely on homegrown players in the future. He expressed his enthusiasm for his new role and hoped to make a significant impact in the coming period.
