Al-Nogoom FC Insists on Maintaining Registration Ban on Ismaily
Al-Nogoom issued an official statement confirming its position on the registration ban imposed on Ismaily, emphasizing that the suspension continues due to non-compliance with the final CAS ruling, not because of any sporting dispute
The club clarified that the registration ban is a direct consequence of Ismaily’s failure to implement the final decision issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) No. 2019/A/6187-6189 on February 21, 2020, later upheld by the Swiss Federal Supreme Court 🏛️
The statement noted that both FIFA and the Egyptian Football Association confirmed the suspension until the ruling is enforced, and Ismaily has not taken any official steps to comply.
Al-Nogoom emphasized that respecting and implementing final decisions is mandatory and non-negotiable for all clubs, and that the continuation of the registration ban is a legitimate legal right to protect the club’s entitlements and ensure equal application of regulations ⚖️📜
The statement concluded by reaffirming that Al-Nogoom fully maintains its legal rights under the approved frameworks, aiming to resolve this issue which has persisted for nearly six years.
