The Arab Football Federation Council held its 78th regular meeting today, Friday, chaired by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal. During the virtual meeting, several important issues concerning the future of Arab football were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, the federation's Secretary-General, Dr. Raja Allah Al-Salmi, presented comprehensive reports covering technical, administrative, and financial aspects of the federation during the past period. He also reviewed the championship program plan spanning from 2025 to 2029, which includes organizing 26 diverse tournaments across various levels.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal emphasized the need for full commitment to implementing the approved tournament agenda, praising the significant efforts of the General Secretariat in developing Arab football and expressing his hope to see more qualitative programs supporting the sport’s growth in the region.
The council also approved holding the General Assembly meeting in late August, with the Secretariat to later determine the date and venue.
Additionally, the Arab Federation’s competition schedule for the new season was ratified. The General Secretariat was directed to begin communication with the member Arab federations to present the competitions for the 2025-2026 season and to schedule tournaments through 2029, preparing to open the nomination and hosting bids for interested national federations.
