Algeria entered the match with clear focus and successfully imposed its style during the opening set, which ended with a 21-14 victory.
Nigeria attempted to fight back in the second set and level the score, but Algeria maintained its advantage and repeated the same result, winning the second set 21-14 to complete a deserved 2-0 victory.

The African Beach Volleyball Championship will continue until August 22 at Abu Heif Beach in Alexandria, in a major continental sporting event attracting significant attention.
The tournament has exceptional importance because it serves as a qualifier for the Olympic Games scheduled to take place in Los Angeles in 2028. The first-place team in the men’s competition, as well as the first-place team in the women’s competition, will earn direct qualification to the Olympics.

28 Countries Participate in the Championship
The tournament features 45 teams, including 24 men’s teams and 21 women’s teams, representing 28 African countries.
The participating nations include Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mozambique, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Burundi, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Niger, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Kenya, Angola, Botswana, Mauritius, Comoros, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Lesotho, Gambia, South Africa and Seychelles.
The large participation reflects the importance of the tournament at the continental level, particularly with the presence of different technical styles and national teams competing for places in the later rounds.
Women’s Competition.. Six Groups
The women’s draw divided 21 teams into six groups. Group One includes Egypt 1, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
Morocco 1, Senegal and Seychelles were placed in Group Two, while Group Three includes Mozambique 1, Burundi and Algeria.
Group Four features Nigeria, Benin, Lesotho and Morocco 2, while Group Five brings together Cape Verde, Gambia, Tunisia and Mozambique 2.
Group Six includes Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Egypt 2.
Men’s Competition Promises Strong Competition ⚡
In the men’s competition, the 24 teams were divided into six groups. Group One includes Egypt 1, Kenya and Mauritius.
Group Two features Morocco 1, Egypt 2, Guinea-Bissau and Burundi, while Group Three includes Mozambique, Cape Verde, Cameroon and Morocco 2.
Group Four brings together Gambia, Niger, Central African Republic and Ivory Coast, while Group Five features Benin, Senegal, Tunisia and Botswana.
