⚽ Cissé Prepares Angola for Egypt Clash
Aliou Cissé, head coach of Angola, has described Egypt as a difficult opponent ahead of the two teams’ opening match in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He added: “From reaching the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals and eliminating the defending champions Ivory Coast, to progressing furthest at the World Cup and troubling Argentina, these are very impressive results.”
His comments underline his recognition of Egypt’s experience in major continental and international competitions ahead of their meeting with Angola.

Cissé also addressed his own coaching future, revealing that he has received approaches from some Egyptian clubs.
He said: “I was talking to Mabouloulo while we were coming to the press conference. Some Egyptian clubs did indeed offer me coaching opportunities recently, but I preferred to continue working with national teams for the time being.”
His comments indicate that Cissé’s current focus remains on international management as he continues his work with Angola.

Egypt begin their qualifying campaign against Angola on September 25, before facing South Sudan on September 29 during the current international window.
