Start of the Seventh Round of the Egyptian League Title Race with Strong Matches

The seventh round of the decisive phase of the Egyptian Premier League kicks off with four important matches in the relegation group. Tala'ea El Gaish will face Enppi at the Sports Authority Stadium, Ismaily will play against Modern Sport at Ismailia Stadium, alongside the match between Smouha and Al Ittihad Alexandria, and finally Ghazl El Mahalla will meet El Gouna.

All matches begin at 8:00 PM, amid fierce competition among the teams to determine their fate this season.

Appeals Committee Confirms Al Ahly-Zamalek Match Result; League Standings Remain Unchanged

The Appeals Committee of the Egyptian Football Association issued its final decision regarding the appeals submitted by Al Ahly, Pyramids, and Zamalek clubs related to the Cairo Derby match in the first round of the league’s second phase.

The committee confirmed the 3-0 loss for Al Ahly against Zamalek, while rejecting the deduction of three points from Al Ahly’s total at the end of the season, keeping the league standings unchanged.

Al Ahly leads the league table with 52 points, two points ahead of Pyramids in second place with 50 points, while Zamalek sits third with 41 points.

This season’s league follows an exceptional system where teams are split into two groups after the first stage: the Title Group, which includes the top nine teams, and the Relegation Avoidance Group, which includes the remaining teams.

The Title Group includes: Al Ahly, Pyramids, Zamalek, Al Masry, Bank Al Ahly, Ceramica, Pharco, Petrojet, and Haras El Hodoud.

The Relegation Avoidance Group includes: ZED FC, Tala'ea El Gaish, Smouha, Al Ittihad Alexandria, El Gouna, Ghazl El Mahalla, Ismaily, Enppi, and Modern Sport.
