Ayman Fathy, chairman of Al Ahly Football Company, has clarified that evaluating the technical level of the first team does not fall under the company’s responsibilities, stressing that its main role is focused on economic and investment matters.
Speaking to presenter Lamis El Hadidy on the “El Soura” program on Al-Nahar channel, Fathy said: “Our role is not to technically evaluate the team’s level. Our role is to maximize economic resources. I have a specific goal of doubling resources, providing sustainable sources of income and generating profits for the company.”

The Al Ahly Football Company chairman explained that the club’s management is focused on developing sustainable financial sources that can strengthen the club’s economic structure over the long term.
He added: “If the team loses a match, that has nothing to do with us; it is not within our responsibilities.”
His remarks underline the distinction between the company’s commercial and investment responsibilities and the technical duties handled by the coaching and sporting departments.
⚽ Al Ahly Players Given a Break During the International Window
Meanwhile, Al Ahly head coach Hussein Ammouta gave the players four days off following the team’s training session last Wednesday.
The squad is scheduled to resume training according to its preparation program during the international break, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to work on technical and physical aspects ahead of the return of official competitions.
