⚽ Ben Jadida Doubles Al Ahly’s Lead
Moroccan forward Sufiane Ben Jadida scored Al Ahly’s second goal against Petrojet Assiut during Wednesday’s Egypt Capital Cup group-stage clash at Al Salam Stadium.
The goal came in the 33rd minute, after Ben Jadida received an excellent pass from Hussein El Shahat inside the attacking area before finishing the move to give Al Ahly a two-goal advantage.
Al Ahly had already opened the scoring through Mohamed Magdy Afsha early in the first half, putting the Red Giants firmly in control.
🔥 Ben Jadida Takes His Opportunity
Ben Jadida’s starting role is part of head coach Hussein Ammouta’s approach of giving opportunities to players who have not consistently featured in the starting lineup.
The Moroccan striker quickly took advantage of his chance by finding the net during his side’s opening match in the competition, providing another attacking option for Ammouta.
Ben Jadida was selected as Al Ahly’s central striker, with Ahmed Reda, Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Ali Mahmoud operating in midfield, while Hussein El Shahat and Taher Mohamed Taher also started.
⭐ El Shahat Provides the Assist
The second goal came after a well-timed attacking movement from Ben Jadida, who benefited from El Shahat’s accurate pass to find the space needed to finish.
The goal further strengthened Al Ahly’s control of the match and highlighted the value of Ammouta’s decision to rotate his squad and give several players an opportunity to prove themselves.
🏆 Al Ahly Target a Strong Start
Al Ahly are competing in Group C of the Egypt Capital Cup alongside Petrojet Assiut, El Gouna, ENPPI, El Mokawloon El Arab and El Sharqia.
The match is important for Ammouta not only because of the desire to collect three points, but also because the competition provides an opportunity to prepare players ahead of the return of the Egyptian Premier League.
The game kicked off at 5:00 PM Cairo time at Al Salam Stadium, with Ben Jadida leading the attack in Ammouta’s starting XI.
