Burkina Faso triumphed 2-0 over Sudan in the final group stage match of AFCON 2025 in Morocco, securing second place in Group E and a matchup against Senegal in the next round.
Burkina Faso clinched a vital 2-0 victory over Sudan in the last group stage match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Lassina Traoré opened the scoring in the 16th minute, while Sudan missed a penalty that could have leveled the match. Arsen Kouassi sealed the win with a second goal in the 85th minute, confirming Burkina Faso’s dominance.
With this result, Burkina Faso finished second in Group E with 6 points, and Sudan took third place with 3 points. Both teams advance to face Senegal in the next round.
