CAF Appoints Algerian Refereeing Team for Zamalek vs Al Masry
An Algerian refereeing crew will officiate the upcoming Confederation Cup clash between Zamalek and Al Masry.
The Confederation of African Football has officially informed Zamalek of appointing an Algerian refereeing team to officiate their match against Al Masry in the fourth round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The refereeing team will be led by Algerian referee Lotfi Boukassa as the main official, assisted by Hamza Bouzit and Yassine Ward Ben Salama, with Houssam Ben Yahia serving as the fourth official.
Libyan official Jamal Salem Embaya has been appointed as the match commissioner, while Tunisian referee Said Mohamed Kordi will act as the referees’ assessor.
Zamalek are set to face Al Masry away from home at Suez Stadium on Sunday, February 1, with kickoff scheduled for 9:00 PM, in a crucial group-stage encounter.
The previous meeting between the two sides in the third round ended in a goalless draw at Borg El Arab Stadium.
Al Masry currently top the group standings with 7 points, while Zamalek sit second with 5 points, adding extra importance to the upcoming match.
