The African Football Confederation (CAF) has suspended Moroccan player Hamza Moussaoui of RS Berkane for two years after confirming his use of a banned substance prior to the match against AS FAR in the CAF Champions League ⚽🇲🇦.
Following a hearing after medical tests conducted during RS Berkane’s group stage match against Pyramids FC, it was revealed that Moussaoui took a prohibited substance without a medical exemption, violating sports regulations 🚫.
The player admitted to taking the banned substance, making the CAF Disciplinary Committee’s decision final, although the suspension could be reduced if an appeal is filed.
Meanwhile, a hearing is scheduled today for Sudanese club Al-Hilal, who filed a complaint about Moussaoui’s participation despite a suspension decision on March 11, which was temporarily lifted, allowing him to play on March 13.
