Motaz Al-Batawy, the General Supervisor of the football team at Ceramica Cleopatra Club, categorically denied that the club received any official letter from Al-Ahly demanding its share of the transfer fee for Algerian player Ahmed Kandousi’s sale to Swiss club Lugano.

Al-Batawy stated in official remarks that the media reports claiming Al-Ahly requested $350,000 as a share of the deal are completely false. He confirmed that no correspondence or requests from Al-Ahly have been received on this matter so far. He added that Ceramica Cleopatra is fully committed to all the terms outlined in the contract signed between the two clubs and will ensure full respect for all agreed legal conditions without any breach.

He clarified that the club respects the legal and financial agreements with Al-Ahly and does not intend to take any actions that might harm the good relationship between the two clubs. He also confirmed that the club maintains continuous communication with Al-Ahly’s management to follow up on all matters related to deals between the two parties, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and transparency among Egyptian clubs in the player transfer process.

Algerian player Ahmed Kandousi had officially joined Ceramica Cleopatra during the last summer transfer window, coming from Al-Ahly after the end of his loan period. He delivered an impressive performance throughout the season, playing in 19 matches across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 7 assists, making him one of the key players in the team’s lineup.

In a new step in his professional career, Ceramica Cleopatra recently announced the completion of Kandousi’s permanent transfer to Swiss club Lugano during the current summer transfer window, amid widespread fan anticipation of his performance in the Swiss league and hopes to broaden his international experience.

It is worth noting that Kandousi’s transfer is considered an important deal reflecting the development of the Egyptian league’s transfer market and the players’ desire to pursue professional experiences abroad that enhance the level of Egyptian football globally.
