The officials of Algerian club Chabab Belouizdad successfully finalized the signing of Tunisian player Mohamed Ali Ben Hammouda, the striker from Ghazl El Mahalla, during the current summer transfer window, after Ceramica officials withdrew from completing negotiations with him. Chabab Belouizdad reached a near-final agreement with Ghazl El Mahalla’s management, settling all details regarding the player's contract and salary with the Algerian club, making him a strong addition to the squad.
Mohamed Ali Ben Hammouda is considered one of the standout players attracting attention from several clubs during this summer transfer period. He had offers from multiple teams, most notably Ceramica, which later withdrew after signing South African player Fakhri Lakay. There were also negotiations with Bank Al Ahly as an alternative option, especially considering the possible departure of Osama Faisal.
On the technical side, Ghazl El Mahalla, led by coach Alaa Abdel Aal, began a closed training camp last Saturday at a hotel in Cairo, lasting ten days as part of intensive preparations for the upcoming Egyptian Premier League season. The camp aims to prepare the players physically and technically amid an atmosphere of discipline and high focus. The team plans to play several friendly matches during this period, with the most anticipated being the upcoming match against Zamalek next Thursday in the New Administrative Capital, which will serve as a strong test before the season begins.
Meanwhile, during the summer transfer window, Ghazl El Mahalla strengthened its squad with several key signings. So far, eight new players have joined the team to bolster its competitiveness in the league. These signings were made with the guidance and approval of coach Alaa Abdel Aal, including Ahmed El Ash from Bank Al Ahly on a three-season contract, Youssef El Azab, a midfielder from Al Mokawloon Al Arab for three years, Ahmed Hamed Shosha, a defender from El Gouna with a three-season deal, and Mohamed Islam Armousha, a midfielder from Al-Merrikh Al-Borsaidi on a four-season contract, in a significant move to strengthen the core of the team.
