Early Exit for Emam Ashour
Al Ahly’s medical team has confirmed that midfielder Emam Ashour suffered a serious injury during the team’s opening match against Inter Miami in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, hosted in the United States.
Ashour was forced off the pitch just 15 minutes into the game following a heavy collision. Team doctor Dr. Ahmed Gaballah revealed that scans showed a fractured clavicle, ruling him out for the remainder of the tournament.

Emotional Message from Emam Ashour
Following the diagnosis, Emam Ashour took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with Al Ahly fans:
"What Allah has destined for you will reach you, and what was not meant for you will never harm you. Alhamdulillah for everything. The injury was tough and came at the very start of the tournament – but this is God’s will, and I accept it."
He added:
"I really wanted to be out there fighting with my brothers on the pitch, but this is my fate. I'm heading into surgery now and, God willing, I’ll come back stronger."
Ashour closed his message with:
"It’s a difficult feeling, but your support and prayers mean everything and keep me grounded. Please stand behind the whole team – every player gives his all and loves the club. Your support makes a difference."

Al Ahly will face Brazilian side Palmeiras on Thursday in a highly anticipated clash in the second round of Group A. The two teams share a history in the tournament:
