Spanish club Almería has officially confirmed that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, currently playing for Al-Nassr and captain of Portugal, has acquired a 25% stake in the club.
The acquisition was made via CR7 Sports Investments, part of the CR7 SA group, marking a strategic step in Ronaldo’s global investment expansion. The move aligns with Almería’s international growth strategy under President Mohamed Al-Khariji and his commercial group, SMC.
Al-Khariji emphasized that Ronaldo’s investment highlights confidence in both the first team and youth academy, praising the player’s knowledge of Spanish football and vision for the club’s potential development.
Ronaldo stated: "I have always aimed to contribute to football off the pitch. Almería is a club with a solid foundation and clear growth potential. I look forward to working closely with the management to support the next stage of the club’s development."
Cristiano Ronaldo has been with Al-Nassr since January 2023, following a mutual termination of his contract with Manchester United, continuing his career outside Europe while maintaining a significant global football influence.
