Al Ahly’s first football team continues its daily training sessions at Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium in Gezira as part of its preparations for the championship phase of the Egyptian Premier League, with the technical staff focusing on enhancing players’ physical and tactical readiness.
International players are scheduled to join the squad’s training on April 3, following the conclusion of their international duties with their national teams during the international break. The coaching staff aims to integrate them quickly into group preparations ahead of the resumption of official matches.
The Egyptian national team has called up several Al Ahly players for friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Spain, including Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, Marwan Attia, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Emam Ashour, and Ahmed Sayed Zizo. Meanwhile, Aliou Dieng joined the Mali national team, and Yassine Kamouech joined Cape Verde for friendly fixtures during the break.
Al Ahly is preparing to face Ceramica Cleopatra in the first round of the championship phase, scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at 8:00 PM Cairo time, in a match where the team aims to continue its push in the title race.
Al Ahly currently sits third in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 40 points, three points behind leaders Zamalek and Pyramids FC.
