This decision reflects the strong relationship between Al-Kholood and Egypt’s Al Ahly club, paving the way for Dieng’s participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Contract still valid until June 2025
Meanwhile, sports presenter Khaled El-Ghandour explained on his show "Stad Al-Mohawar" that Dieng’s loan contract with Al-Kholood is still active and runs until June 30, 2025. This legal commitment currently prevents Dieng from joining Al Ahly’s training sessions. El-Ghandour confirmed that the player has not yet participated in team training due to this contractual situation.
Preliminary approval from Al-Kholood club
El-Ghandour also pointed out that there is preliminary approval from Al-Kholood’s management for Dieng’s return to Al Ahly, following official communication between both clubs in recent days. However, the matter is not finalized yet, pending completion of the necessary procedures.
Saudi Ministry of Sports is a key party
One of the challenges facing the loan termination is that Dieng’s current contract with Al-Kholood is financially supported by the Saudi Ministry of Sports. Therefore, official coordination with the ministry is required to legally end the loan contract, a process that Al Ahly’s management is currently working on.

El-Ghandour concluded by stating that all parties involved — Al Ahly, Al-Kholood, and the Saudi Ministry of Sports — are currently working to complete the legal aspects of ending the loan, paving the way for Aliou Dieng to rejoin Al Ahly’s training sessions in the near future.
