$7 Million and 20% of Future Resale.. Zamalek Reveal Bezerra Deal With Shabab Al Ahli 🏹🔥
Maher Gharib, Zamalek’s media department director, revealed details of the agreement reached with Shabab Al Ahli Dubai over the transfer of Brazilian player Juan Alvina Bezerra, outlining the main financial and contractual terms agreed between the two clubs.
Gharib made the comments during an interview with sports presenter Hany Hattout as the player prepares to travel to the UAE for his medical examination before completing the final procedures and officially announcing the transfer.
Deal Worth $7 Million
Maher Gharib explained that the total value of Juan Bezerra’s transfer to Shabab Al Ahli is $7 million, including $1 million in performance-related bonuses.
He added that the bonuses are linked to the player’s appearances and contributions with the UAE club, making the potential total value of the agreement $7 million under the terms negotiated by the two clubs.
The Zamalek media director confirmed that the financial value and bonus structure were agreed as part of the transfer contract, with the deal now approaching official completion.
Zamalek Retain 20% of Future Resale
Gharib also revealed an important additional clause in the agreement, under which Zamalek will receive 20% of the proceeds from any future resale of the player if Juan Bezerra later moves from Shabab Al Ahli to another club.
He stressed that the resale percentage is completely separate from the current transfer value, saying: “The 20% is separate from the $7 million. Nobody knows how much the player might be sold for later; that is unknown.”
This means Zamalek will retain a financial entitlement if Bezerra is transferred from the UAE club to another team in the future, with the 20% clause not included in the current $7 million deal value.
Zamalek Have Priority If Bezerra Returns to Egypt
Maher Gharib also revealed that the agreement contains a clause giving Zamalek priority to secure the player’s services if Juan Bezerra returns to Egypt in the future.
He explained that an agreement grants the Egyptian club this priority, although he did not reveal the precise details of the clause because the contract contains confidentiality provisions.
The clause gives Zamalek an additional contractual position should Bezerra decide to return to Egyptian football at a later stage.
Deal Progressing Officially and Amicably
The Zamalek media director stressed that the negotiations with Shabab Al Ahli have been conducted in an official and friendly manner, noting the good relationship between the two clubs and confirming that only the final steps and official announcement remain.
Juan Alvina Bezerra is already close to completing his move from Zamalek to Shabab Al Ahli, with the player travelling to the UAE for his medical examination before the remaining contractual and administrative procedures are completed.
Other Confidential Clauses in the Agreement
Maher Gharib emphasized that the transfer value, bonuses and the 20% resale percentage are among the most important terms agreed between Zamalek and Shabab Al Ahli.
At the same time, the agreement includes other clauses that cannot be disclosed because of confidentiality provisions. The official transfer announcement is expected after the medical examination and completion of the remaining procedures.
Juan Bezerra’s move to Shabab Al Ahli is therefore approaching its final stage, with Zamalek fans awaiting the official announcement of the transfer.
