Mohamed Magdy Afsha stepped up confidently and scored in the 87th minute, securing the equaliser in a tightly contested match held as part of Group C in the tournament hosted in Qatar from December 1 to 18.
Egypt began the match with Mohamed Bassam in goal, supported by Akram Tawfik, Ragab Nabil, Yassin Marei, Yehia Zakaria, along with Mohamed Elneny, Amr El-Sulaya, Ghanam Mohamed, Mostafa Saad “Messi”, Islam Issa, and Mohamed Sherif leading the attack.

Egypt will continue its group-stage fixtures with a match against the UAE on December 6 before facing Jordan on December 9, in a group regarded as one of the most competitive in the tournament.
