Egypt Hosts North Africa School Football Championship 🇪🇬
Teams from Egypt, Algeria, and Morocco compete in the under-15 North Africa School Championship, alongside specialized training and refereeing workshops
Egypt will host the North Africa School Football Championship starting Sunday, January 25, 2026, which serves as a qualifier for the African Schools Football Championship. The tournament will take place at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City 🏟️⚽
The championship features boys and girls under-15 teams from Egypt, Algeria, and Morocco, in cooperation with the Ministries of Education and Youth & Sports and the Egyptian Football Association, as part of a strategy to promote school football and nurture young talents 🌟👟
Alongside the competition, specialized workshops on training, refereeing, media, and child protection will be conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), aiming to enhance the skills of technical, administrative, and media personnel and foster knowledge exchange among participating countries 📝🌍
Dr. Hatem Sorour, tournament director, emphasized that Egypt’s hosting demonstrates its organizational excellence and pivotal role in supporting North Africa Football Union programs, noting that the event serves as a key platform to strengthen school football and develop future national teams 💪⚽
