The Egyptian Muay Thai delegation is heading to Benghazi, Libya, today, Wednesday, to prepare for participation in the Arab Youth and Junior Muay Thai Championship, one of the major Arab competitions bringing together a number of promising talents in the sport. 🥊🔥
Egypt’s participation comes as part of the Egyptian Muay Thai Federation’s plan to develop young athletes and give them the opportunity to gain strong experience at the Arab level, while continuing efforts to build a new generation capable of competing in regional and international championships in the coming years.
Egypt’s Delegation Includes 32 Members
The Egyptian Muay Thai delegation consists of 32 members, including 26 male and female athletes, in addition to six members of the technical and administrative staff, with the team fully focused on preparing for the competition and achieving the best possible results.
The Egyptian team will participate with a large number of athletes across different age groups and weight categories, reflecting the growing talent base in the sport and the federation’s desire to give as many young athletes as possible the opportunity to gain experience and compete for medals.
Egyptian Talents in the Junior Categories
The youth category features Mazen Mohamed Nimer Abdel Hamid in the 30kg division, Naseem Rami Fathy Youssef in the 32kg division, and Mazen Mohamed Gaber Ali in the 34kg division.
In the 12-to-13-year-old junior category, Egypt will be represented by Fathy Tamer Abdel Fattah Kamel in the 34kg division, Wajih Mohamed Wajih Eid Rabah in the 38kg division, Marwan Islam Ibrahim Fahmy in the 42kg division, and Adham Tamer Mohamed Fathy in the 48kg division.
The 14-to-15-year-old junior category includes several athletes, led by Sabry Ali Sabry in the 40kg division, Sajed Ahmed Mohamed Raafat in the 42kg division, Mohamed Sami Abdel Moneim in the 48kg division, Bejad Mostafa Gibril in the 54kg division, Omar El-Sayed Massad El-Sengidy in the 60kg division, Abdullah Mohamed El-Anous in the 63.5kg division, Hassan Ahmed Hassan Abu Deif in the 67kg division, and Moamen Alaa Mohamed Gouda in the 75kg division.
Egypt will also participate with female junior athletes, including Mariam Mokhtar Ragab Mostafa in the 51kg division and Sara Adawy El-Sayed Hosny El-Awky in the 54kg division.
Strong Egyptian Presence in the Youth Competition
In the 16-to-17-year-old youth competitions, Egypt will be represented by Mohamed Reda Omar El-Zaatary in the 51kg division, Ahmed Hatem Atef Harqoush in the 54kg division, Omar Mohamed Abdel Aleem Bassiouny in the 57kg division, and Mahmoud Ibrahim Refaat Qoda in the 60kg division.
The squad also includes Fahd Mohamed Sami Abdel Moneim in the 63.5kg division, Adam Mohamed Farid in the 67kg division, and Abdel Rahman Osama Mahmoud Mahany in the 71kg division.
In the female youth competition, Egypt will feature Shorouk Hassan Abdullah Abdel Rabah in the 45kg division and Habiba Ahmed Mohsen Mohamed Rashad in the 51kg division.
Technical and Administrative Staff Accompany the Team
The Egyptian delegation’s technical and administrative staff includes Mohamed Ibrahim, President of the Egyptian Muay Thai Federation, along with Ahmed El-Manzalawy as team administrator, coaches Wael Faher, Haitham El-Sherbiny and Ayman El-Homsany, as well as referee Fahmy El-Shazly.
The coaching staff is working to prepare the athletes according to the requirements of each age group and weight category, focusing on technical and physical aspects while raising their overall readiness before the competitions begin.
