Egypt’s Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif followed the final day of the 2025/2026 General Secondary Certificate exams from the ministry’s Central Operations Room, ensuring the smooth conduct of exams and the implementation of all organizational procedures across examination committees nationwide.

Education Minister Follows Final High School Exam Day from Operations Room 🎓

Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, followed the final day of the General Secondary Certificate exams for the 2025/2026 academic year from inside the Central Operations Room at the ministry’s headquarters.

The minister monitored the progress of the examination process in coordination with operations rooms in all governorates, in order to ensure the regularity of exams and verify that all procedures were being implemented properly to provide students with a safe and suitable environment.

Direct Follow-Up with Educational Directorates 📢

The Minister of Education communicated directly with educational directorate officials and heads of operations rooms across the governorates to confirm that exam question papers had arrived at all examination committees on schedule without any reported obstacles.

He stressed the importance of maintaining full readiness and ensuring that all committees operate according to the approved regulations throughout the examination period.

Monitoring Student Entry and Examination Procedures 📝

Through monitoring screens and surveillance cameras connected to examination committees, the minister followed the procedures for students’ entry into exam halls and ensured that inspection processes were carried out accurately and with full discipline.

He also instructed officials to begin exams at the scheduled time in all committees without delays, while providing students with a calm and secure atmosphere that allows them to perform their exams effectively.

The minister emphasized the need to deal firmly and immediately with any violations that could affect the organization of the examination process, ensuring stability and discipline in all committees.

Appreciation for Examination Officials 👏

Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his sincere appreciation to all those involved in organizing the General Secondary Certificate exams, including ministry leaders, educational directorate officials, committee heads, supervisors, invigilators, security personnel, and all supporting organizations.

He praised the great efforts made throughout the examination period, which contributed to the successful organization of exams across Egypt.

Thousands of Students Take Final Exams 📚

On the final day of the 2025/2026 General Secondary Certificate exams, students following the new system completed several subjects across different academic sections.

Students in the science section took the biology exam, with a total of 533,958 male and female students participating, while students in the science mathematics section took the applied mathematics exam with 144,649 students.

Meanwhile, literary section students completed the statistics exam with a total of 192,947 students.

Students following the old education system also performed their final exams, including:

⭐ Science Mathematics students taking applied mathematics (Statics), with 397 students.

⭐ Science students taking geology and environmental sciences, with 1,536 students.

⭐ Literary students taking philosophy and logic, with 590 students.

The exams were held across 2,032 examination committees nationwide.

In addition, 284 visually impaired students following the new system completed the statistics exam.

Full Security Measures to Protect Examination Process 🔒

Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Examinations and General Supervisor of the General Secondary Certificate Exams, confirmed that all stages of the examination process were fully secured.

He explained that security procedures covered every stage, starting from printing exam papers, transporting them to distribution centers, delivering them to examination committees, and transferring them afterward to correction and monitoring centers, ensuring complete confidentiality and safety.

He also followed the procedures for distributing concept booklets to students before exams began, as well as reviewing the proper distribution of question booklets, including translated versions, according to each committee’s data and the number of students in each exam model.
