Egypt U20 Women’s Team Kicks Off Closed Camp Ahead of Africa Qualifiers
The Egyptian U20 women’s team, led by coach Amira Youssef, has started a closed training camp ahead of their home-and-away matches against Benin in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Egypt’s U20 women’s team has officially launched a closed training camp at the National Teams Center under head coach Amira Youssef. The squad is preparing for its two upcoming matches against Benin in the qualifiers for the 2026 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
The first leg will take place on February 6, while the return leg is scheduled for February 13 in Togo.
Meanwhile, the draw for the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, to be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, placed Egypt in Group 3 alongside Nigeria, Zambia, and Malawi.
This edition of the tournament will feature 16 teams for the first time in its history. The groups are as follows:

Group 1: Morocco – Algeria – Senegal – Kenya

Group 2: South Africa – Ivory Coast – Burkina Faso – Tanzania

Group 3: Nigeria – Zambia – Egypt – Malawi

Group 4: Ghana – Cameroon – Mali – Cape Verde
The draw took place alongside the 2025 Men’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, with coach Amira Youssef present to represent Egypt’s U20 women’s team.
