Public viewing atmosphere across youth centers
Youth development centers across Egyptian governorates opened their doors to citizens to watch the Egypt national team match against Australia in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, as part of an initiative launched by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support Egyptian fans during the national team’s journey.
Nationwide support initiative
Continuing efforts to support fans during Egypt’s World Cup campaign, around 1,200 youth centers across the country are keeping their doors open after being equipped with modern screens and facilities to host citizens and allow them to experience the excitement of cheering for the national team.
The initiative is held under the slogan: “Egypt Youth Centers… A Home for All Egyptians.”
Al Obour Youth Center highlights
Among the most notable venues was the Al Obour Youth Development Center, which opened early to welcome fans before the Egypt vs Australia match. It provided a lively and entertaining atmosphere ahead of kickoff, followed by celebrations after Egypt’s victory and qualification to the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
