The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education as part of efforts to create a more integrated link between education and sports and make better use of the available resources of both ministries to reach more students and identify promising talent at an early age.
Youth and Sports: Talent Discovery Starts in Schools 🔥
The Minister of Youth and Sports stressed that discovering, supporting and developing athletic talent is receiving significant attention, explaining that expanding sports participation among children and young people is essential to reaching a wider base of students with promising abilities.
He noted that cooperation with the Ministry of Education provides an opportunity to reach students inside schools and identify talented athletes at an early stage before developing them through an integrated system combining participation, training and continuous assessment.
He also emphasized the importance of using sports facilities and youth centers to implement joint programs and initiatives, particularly youth centers located in villages and rural areas as well as public sports spaces across different governorates.
Youth Centers as Platforms for Talent Discovery 📢
The Minister of Youth and Sports explained that youth centers can play an important role in supporting talent discovery through direct cooperation with schools and the organization of sports programs and competitions targeting students and young people.
The sports fields and facilities affiliated with the ministry can also be used to provide suitable spaces for different activities while making use of existing resources to support the identification and development of promising young athletes.
Education Ministry: Sports Are Part of Student Development ⭐

He explained that school sports represent an important part of developing the student’s personality in a comprehensive way, noting that the role of schools extends beyond academic education to include mental, physical and behavioral development.
He stressed that strengthening sports activities within schools and discovering athletic talent represent important steps toward preparing generations capable of excellence by creating an environment that combines academic education with participation in different activities.
Preparing a Generation Capable of Competition 🏅
The Education Minister noted that providing an integrated educational and sporting environment can help students develop their skills and abilities while identifying their talents at an early stage.
The ultimate objective of the cooperation is to help establish a stronger pool of sporting talent capable of developing and competing in domestic and international competitions, creating opportunities for new generations to represent Egypt in different sporting events.
Talent Database and Specialized Programs
The two sides discussed establishing clear mechanisms for identifying talented students across different sports, while making use of coaches and specialists from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to assess students and young athletes with outstanding abilities.
They also discussed creating a database for sports talent, which would make it possible to monitor players continuously and establish specialized programs to develop their skills according to the requirements of each sport and each player’s stage of development.
The approach is designed to organize the talent-discovery process so that identifying a talented player is not the final step, but instead the beginning of continuous monitoring and development toward the required levels of competition.

The vision includes benefiting from the expertise and resources available at the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support teachers and improve methods of delivering sports activities, contributing to better programs for students.
Applied Technology Schools for Sports Facilities
The meeting also addressed cooperation mechanisms for establishing applied technology schools specializing in areas related to the maintenance of sports fields and facilities.
The two sides also discussed using the facilities and sports fields affiliated with these schools to train students under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, giving them opportunities to gain practical and specialized skills that can prepare them for the labor market.
The initiative aims to create future employment opportunities for students in clubs and different sports facilities after graduation while connecting technical education more closely with the needs of the sports sector.
