The attention of Egyptian football fans is turning toward the start of the new 2026-2027 Premier League season, amid strong anticipation following a busy summer transfer window that saw most clubs make significant moves, either by signing new players or bringing back loaned-out players in an effort to build squads capable of competing.

Al Ahly made major changes to its squad, strengthening the team with several players, including Ali Mahmoud and Oktay Abdullah from ENPPI, Moroccan striker Sofiane Benjedida, Algerian forward Moncef Bekkar, Akram Tawfik, Mahmoud Salah, Tawfik Mohamed, and Mohamed Abdel Nasser, who will join in January.
Al Ahly also brought back several players from loan spells, including Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Omar El-Saie, Ahmed Reda, Ahmed Khaled Kabaka, Reda Slim, Achraf Dari, Mohamed Abdullah, and Karim El Debes.
Zamalek, meanwhile, entered the new season while still dealing with its registration ban. As a result, the club relied on bringing back several players from loan spells, including Mostafa El-Zanary, Hossam Ashraf and Ahmed El-Gafali, without making new signings according to the current information.
Pyramids, on the other hand, moved strongly in the market, signing Khaled Awad from Tala'ea El Gaish, Eyad El Askalany from Russian club Rostov on loan, Ahmed Abdel Kader from Iraqi side Al-Karma, and Algerian striker Nazir Ben Ali from Hungarian club Győr Törna Ozta, while also bringing back Mahmoud Saber from ZED and Abdel Rahman Magdy from Al Ittihad Alexandria. ⭐

Ceramica Cleopatra made extensive changes, signing Peter Korkis, Nitz Gradišar on loan, Mohamed Alaa, Fathy Mohamed, Fawzy El-Hanawy, Khaled El-Nabrees, Moaz Ahmed, Mohamed El-Sayed Shika, Mohamed Emad, Ashour Shika, and Samir El-Iraqi.
Al Masry also strengthened its squad with Abdullah El-Zayani, Yassin El-Mallah, Mostafa El-Esh, Mohamed Shokry, Kheir El-Din Toual, and Mohamed Ahmed Seha on loan, in addition to Eritrean striker Ali Suleiman.
ENPPI signed Mostafa Fawzy, Ammar Hamdy, Ahmed Mahmoud, Emad Meihoub, Youssef Sayed Abdel Hafiz and Mohamed Essam, while also bringing back several players from loan spells.
🔵 Smouha, Wadi Degla and ZED Transfers
Smouha was among the most active clubs in the transfer market, signing a large group of players, including Abdel Ghany Mohamed, Ahmed Meihoub, Mohamed Desouky, Marwan Hamdy, Mohamed Farouk, Gabriel Chikodi, Omar Mohsen, Ahmed El-Nadry, Mohamed Abdel Samie, Ahmed Abdel Rasoul, Ahmed Haidar, Clement, Fady Farid and Ahmed Saleh.
Wadi Degla also strengthened its squad with Mohamed Halimo, Mohamed Soliman, Mohamed Fathy, Mohamed Magdy Abu Greisha, Ahmed Abdeen and Mohamed Saeed Gehna, while bringing back several loaned players.
ZED, meanwhile, signed Tarek Alaa, Mohamed Ibrahim, Marwan Hagag, Palestinian defender Wajdi Nabhan, Omar Khedr, Walid Ali Farag, Mohamed Ezz, Mahmoud Oka and Mohamed Hussein, while also bringing back Rashid Ahmed, Mahmoud Nabil and Magdy Hany.

The remaining clubs also continued their transfer activity. National Bank of Egypt strengthened its squad with Mody Nasser, Ali Hamdy, Rashed El-Metwally, Mohamed Nasr, Mohamed Gamal, Mohamed Reda, Francisco Anderson, Karim Hamed and Hatem Sokar.
Gouna, Petrojet, Ghazl El Mahalla, Arab Contractors, Modern Sport, Tala'ea El Gaish, Al Ittihad Alexandria, Petrol Asyut, El Qanah and Abu Qir Fertilizers also made extensive moves, involving domestic and foreign signings, loans and the return of former players.
