The technical staff of the Libyan club Ahli Tripoli, led by coach Hossam El-Badry, has temporarily moved to Misrata to stay in one of the hotels there, due to the escalating security situation in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, which has worsened in recent days. Along with El-Badry, the staff members Hady Khashaba, Ahmed Ayoub, Ahmed Shoukry, and Hady Said traveled, while player Mahmoud Kahraba stayed in a different hotel near the team's accommodation.

El-Badry confirmed that the recent developments in Tripoli were surprising, as violent clashes broke out in several areas of the capital. He noted that the security situation had become more complicated and dangerous than before. He explained that the team had to move to Misrata as a precautionary measure to ensure everyone's safety and that they were in constant communication with the Egyptian embassy, which had instructed the delegation to stay in the hotel until further instructions after assessing the situation.
El-Badry clarified that this move does not mean leaving Libya permanently, but rather a temporary relocation until the situation stabilizes and the next steps are evaluated. He emphasized that the highest priority at this moment is to ensure the safety of the technical staff and foreign players.

He also mentioned that communications with the club’s management and officials in Libya were ongoing to keep track of developments. Coordination with the concerned Egyptian authorities is also taking place, as they showed great interest in the delegation's situation.

El-Badry explained that the team had planned to return to Cairo in the coming days, but the sudden security events prevented that decision from being implemented. He added that they have a plan in place to leave as soon as security is restored in Tripoli.

He also stated that the recent clashes were the fiercest since his arrival in Libya, and the sound of explosions was heard near their accommodation in Tripoli before moving to Misrata, which caused concern within the team and led them to decide on the temporary departure.

He confirmed that the team's morale had been affected by the surrounding circumstances, but everyone remained hopeful for a return to calm soon. He stressed their full commitment to the contract with Ahli Tripoli and their readiness to resume training as soon as the security situation improves.

El-Badry also spoke about the high spirit within the technical staff despite the challenges, pointing out that they were dealing with the situation with wisdom and patience, taking all necessary measures to ensure everyone's safety.

He explained that the team did not expect this security escalation at this time, especially since the situation had been moving towards stability in recent weeks. However, the recent events have brought the fears back to the surface.

He added that there has been constant communication with the families of the technical staff members in Egypt to reassure them about their well-being, confirming that all members of the delegation are in good health and staying in the hotel under strict security measures.

He noted that the Libyan club officials showed great understanding of the decision and assured that they were working to provide full support to the technical staff and foreign players during this critical period.

The security situation in Tripoli had deteriorated significantly following reports of the killing of Abdelghani Al-Kikli, known as Ghenywa, the head of the Support and Stability Force, which led to violent clashes between security forces and armed factions in the Abu Salim area.

After these clashes, the Ministry of Defense in Libya's National Unity Government announced full control over the area, stating in an official statement that the military operation had been successfully completed after hours of fighting.

The statement confirmed that the ministry's forces had restored stability in the area, arrested several wanted individuals, and seized weapons and ammunition, with ongoing sweeping and securing operations to prevent any renewed clashes.

The Libyan government is working to calm the situation by enforcing security control over sensitive areas and redeploying security forces in the capital. However, the situation is still not fully stable, which led the Ahli Tripoli delegation to take precautionary measures.

For his part, Hossam El-Badry expressed his hope to return to Cairo soon with all members of the technical staff and players, hoping that this difficult phase would end safely and without losses.

He added that football should remain a tool for rapprochement and peace, stressing that sports cannot be practiced in an atmosphere of tension and violence, calling for quick solutions to ensure the return of sports activities without threats.

He confirmed that the technical staff continues to assess the situation moment by moment and that they are in constant contact with the local players of the club, who have not yet left Tripoli, and are discussing possible scenarios for the next phase.

He also emphasized the importance of coordination between clubs and security authorities in Libya to ensure the safety of players and coaches, especially in light of the complex conditions the country is going through.

He pointed out that the psychological factor plays a significant role in such circumstances, so they are working to boost the team's morale through daily meetings and constant communication between the technical staff members.

He concluded by stating that this experience is difficult but full of lessons, confirming that the team will emerge from it more united and resilient, and they are fully prepared to resume work as soon as the situation allows.

He ended his statement by emphasizing that the safety and security of individuals remain the top priority, and he will remain committed to his duties as long as circumstances permit, expressing his hope for a complete return to stability in Libya as soon as possible.
