Essam El-Hadary: Zizo won’t make an impact at Al Ahly
Former Egypt and Al Ahly goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary criticized the signing of Ahmed Sayed Zizo, claiming the player won’t succeed at Al Ahly for now, though he admitted Zizo could improve over time.

Speaking on the “Match Box” podcast, El-Hadary said:
“I don’t welcome Zizo’s signing with Al Ahly. The club won’t benefit from this deal. At the moment, Zizo won’t perform well for Al Ahly, though maybe later he could.”
🗣️ He added: “So far, Zizo hasn’t made a real impact in the matches he’s played for Al Ahly. He only performed well in one game.”
El-Hadary concluded by saying:
“Al Ahly is totally different from Zamalek. The two clubs aren’t the same at all. The truth sometimes upsets people, but in my opinion, Zizo won’t succeed at Al Ahly right now.” ⚽
