The Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation, headed by Captain Sameh El-Shazly, announced the details of its local and international activity plan for the 2026 season in finswimming and lifesaving.

🏆 Local Competitions Begin With Regional Championships
The local season starts on July 21 through the federation’s summer regional finswimming championships, with several competitions scheduled across Egyptian governorates.
The opening event will be the Ismailia Regional Championship from July 21 to July 26, followed by the Cairo Regional Championship from July 23 to August 4.
The Port Said Regional Championship will be held from July 30 to August 6, while the regional championships conclude with the Alexandria Regional Championship from August 6 to August 18. ⭐
These competitions provide an important opportunity for national team coaches to monitor players and select the best talents based on performances and results.
🌊 National Championships Continue Until October
As part of the local season plan, the Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation will organize the 2026 National Open Water Finswimming Championship for all age groups.
The first stage will be held in Alexandria from September 18 to September 21.
The local season will conclude with the 2026 National Short Distance Finswimming Championship in Cairo from October 1 to October 12.

Egypt will host three important world championships in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, confirming the country’s ability to organize major international sporting events.
The schedule begins with the World University Championship from October 26 to October 30, followed by the World Open Water Finswimming Championship for juniors and seniors from October 30 to November 4.
Sharm El-Sheikh will also host the World Masters Championship from November 2 to November 5. 🌍✨

The international season will conclude with Egypt’s participation in the World Lifesaving Championship from November 30 to December 7, one of the strongest global competitions in the sport.
