Sources within Pyramids FC confirmed the club’s full respect for the judiciary, following the ruling by the Giza Criminal Court sentencing Ramadan Sobhi to one year in prison in the widely reported forgery case.

The sources emphasized that the sentence is not final, and the club is awaiting the player’s legal team to file an appeal according to the proper procedures. The club reaffirmed its commitment to the law and respect for the justice process, without commenting on case details until a final verdict is issued.

The Giza Criminal Court, Circuit 30, sentenced Ramadan Sobhi to one year of strict imprisonment, while the primary defendant received ten years, and the fourth defendant was acquitted. The case involves four defendants: a footballer, a café worker, a security supervisor, and a café owner.

According to the indictment, the defendants participated in forging official documents, including exam answer sheets and attendance records at the Pharaonic Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels, to portray Ramadan Sobhi as a regular student, contrary to the facts and the law.
