Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, launched a fierce verbal attack on Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson following his team's loss in the FA Cup final, describing him as “a disgrace.”

The confrontation occurred immediately after the match ended, with visible tension that prompted players from both sides to intervene. According to lip-reading experts, Guardiola told Henderson, “You don’t deserve that… what a disgrace,” to which the keeper responded, “You still had 10 minutes.”



The match featured a controversial moment when Henderson appeared to handle the ball outside the box in the first half. However, the referee only showed a yellow card, sparking outrage from City’s coaching staff.

Despite the controversy, Guardiola later clarified that his anger was mainly due to repeated time-wasting, stating, “This isn’t fair… fans came to watch real football,” emphasizing that the slow pace killed the game, even though a lengthy stoppage time was added.

Henderson downplayed the incident, expressing his respect for the Spanish manager: “No hard feelings—he was just frustrated by the delay.”

In a touching moment, the English keeper dedicated the win to the memory of his late father, saying, “He was with me every moment… this victory is for him.”
